so, I've installed the GPU version of Tensorflow, CUDA and cuDNN. I believe I have set all this up correctly but when I run 'import tensorflow as tf' I get this error:

Failed to load the native TensorFlow runtime.

I have tried these steps with no luck. On Windows, running "import tensorflow" generates No module named "_pywrap_tensorflow" error

Any help would be appreciated - I'm new to both Python and to Tensorflow. John

edit: I found a tensorflow self checker and ran it which gives me the following error: https://www.screencast.com/t/cTx8oETtuTe Going to try reinstalling cuDNN now.

After a few hours of trying things, it appears it came down to having the wrong version of cuDNN insatlled. It required cuDNN v6.0 (April 27, 2017), for CUDA 8.0 rather than the cuDNN v7.0.2 (Sept 7, 2017), for CUDA 8.0.

Cheers John
