So I released my app on Android today (woohoo), but firing it up on the ol' iOS emulator I found that the default splash screen (albeit maybe shorter), was still there. This was odd because I removed the cordova-plugin-splashscreen plugin awhile ago. I tried changing the splashcreen by editing the myapp/www/res/ios/screen files, but alas the splash screen is still the default phonegap splash screen.
Perhaps I should mention, I created the project initially with the Windows Phonegap desktop app, however quickly just installed cordova through npm and started doing everything through the command line.
Anyway, I'm really at a loss. I tried adding: in my config.xml. No dice.

I also tried fully deleting the app from the simulator, clearing xcodes build using command+shift+option+K, adding the line just below , rebuilding in command line, then launching in xcode. Still there.
I could truly use a hand. Thanks guys.
