How to copy column sql?

I want to copy column other column but with conditions.

I try UPDATE deneme SET mest = test it's work but I want to enter some conditions. For example UPDATE deneme SET mest = test WHERE mest is null and mest_category=13 it's not work. Why?

The query syntax is fine, you just need to check your where condition, whether it is returning any data in select clause-----: select * from deneme WHERE mest is null and mest_category=13 - Tomato Master
