Post-install scripts Lubuntu [closed]

For a client, we need to ship an usb drive with a lubuntu installer on it. It would be great if we could automate the post install script. Ideally I would like the client to boot with the usb drive and the desired applications should get installed automatically after the standard installer is done.
Is there a way to fire a post install script to install a bunch of desired applications? How to do it?

The Debian handbook has an appendix on preseeding; I guess that's what you are looking for. (In case it's not obvious, Lubuntu, like all Ubuntu variants, is Debian-based.) Not properly a programming topic anyway. – tripleee
