Will give a quick context. I was strict to the manual: https://docs.mongodb.com/manual/tutorial/install-mongodb-on-ubuntu/
- wget -qO - https://www.mongodb.org/static/pgp/server-4.4.asc | sudo apt-key add -
- echo "deb [ arch=amd64,arm64 ] https://repo.mongodb.org/apt/ubuntu focal/mongodb-org/4.4 multiverse" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mongodb-org-4.4.list
- sudo apt-get update
- sudo apt-get install -y mongodb-org
- sudo systemctl start mongod
- sudo systemctl status mongod

MongoDB shell version v4.4.1
connecting to: mongodb://127.0.0.1:27017/?compressors=disabled&gssapiServiceName=mongodb
Error: couldn't connect to server 127.0.0.1:27017, connection attempt failed: SocketException: Error connecting to 127.0.0.1:27017 :: caused by :: Connection refused :
connect@src/mongo/shell/mongo.js:374:17
@(connect):2:6
exception: connect failed
exiting with code 1
Then tried to fix this status=14/n/a with:
sudo chown -R mongodb:mongodb /var/lib/mongodb
sudo chown mongodb:mongodb /tmp/mongodb-27017.sock
and other stuff
Then deleted mongodb with:
sudo apt-get purge mongodb-org*
sudo apt remove mongodb
sudo apt purge mongodb
sudo apt autoremove
And install it the same way from above with the same result. I need help.
That's the etc/mongod.conf

Update ATM I tried another reinstall this time with guide from stackoverflow:
- sudo apt-get install --reinstall mongodb (had error - Errors were encountered while processing)
- sudo systemctl daemon-reload
- sudo apt update/upgrate
- sudo apt install mongodb (The following package was automatically installed and is no longer required)
- sudo apt autoremove
- sudo systemctl status mongodb (Main process exited, code=exited, status=100/n/a)
- sudo mongo
