I have installed Angular Universal on my Angular9 application running the following: ng add @nguniversal/express-engine After then, since I have lazy loading routings I have added: ModuleMapLoaderModule to app.server.module.ts.

Show your server.ts file. It's likely you haven't upgraded that file after migrating to angular 9David
Added. Note that I have added NG9 before adding NG Universal.Ron Rofe

For those who face the same issue, below is a solution:

@nguniversal/module-map-ngfactory-loader is no longer required unless you are using the deprecated string based lazy loading, which from the error it doesn’t appear to be the case.
