I followed the tutorial to create the batch job https://spring.io/guides/gs/batch-processing/, the program is running if I run the application from mainclass.

import lombok.extern.slf4j.Slf4j;
import org.springframework.boot.SpringApplication;
import org.springframework.boot.autoconfigure.SpringBootApplication;

@SpringBootApplication
@Slf4j
public class SpringBatchApplication {

    public static void main(String[] args) {
        SpringApplication.run(SpringBatchApplication.class, args);
    }

}

but when I am running the same code using CommandLineJobRunner I am getting error about DataSource are not being found. My pom file is

Did Sam's answer work for you? I get the same error message, but spring-boot-starter-data-jpa is already included in my pom.gillesB

Just include spring-boot-starter-data-jpa and you are good to go.
