I am trying to build a POC for one of our projects, and have been experimenting with spring data jpa module. I'm using h2 database, and the database has only one table. I have an entity object that is mapped to the table. I have a test controller that gets the json object. I created an entity object out of it, and the entity object is passed on to the repository. I have a service that is using the save( ) method to insert a new record in to the table. I see that proper id is generated, but the operation fails with an exception - "after saving the identifier must not be null".
I tried all the different combinations for the id here, but I guess the identifier the code is referring to is probably another identifier I am not aware of. There is a static class AbsentIdentifierAccessor in BasicPersistentEntity (spring class) that gets called for the identifier.
