did you try using the code in my answer?Moshe Slavin
I did but it didn’t work it gives this Error nonethelessParsa Fakhar
that is odd... how are you running the code?Moshe Slavin
@MosheSlavin with PyCharm, i create a python file and hit run, I think this has something to do with the websites that are HTTPS, bc if the image is from a HTTP webpage it will be downloaded without any problem, I don’t understand why SSL ruins itParsa Fakhar
can I suggest you use request instead... that way you can add verify=False I'll add to my answerMoshe Slavin

Try this it works for me:

import random
import urllib.request

def download_web_image(url):
    name = random.randrange(1,1000)
    fullname = str(name) + ".jpg"
    urllib.request.urlretrieve(url, fullname)

print(download_web_image("https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b4/JPEG_example_JPG_RIP_100.jpg"))

This outputs: None but it's fine!

The file is saved in the same directory as the script.

Here is the way I ran the script: enter image description here

you just have to use the command:

 /Applications/Python\ 3.6/Install\ Certificates.command
