I continue to get the same error regardless of which solution I download (pre-release or stable). Here are the steps I follow.

  1. Open in Visual Studio Community 2017 v 15.5.3
  2. Build to restore NuGet packages
  3. Set Web project as startup project
  4. In web.config connection string I change "Server=Localhost" to "Server=.\SQLExpress"
  5. In package manager console select EntityFramework as default project
  6. Run Update-Database

Get the following error:

The database is being created but I assume the last migration 201807270535111_Updated_ABP is causing the conflict.

I had this same issues and what solved it for me was to make changes on the connection string (appsettings.json or web.config) keeping it simple and then making sure I was pointing to the right Instance of SqlServer.Damilare
