Facing error below when lsnrctl START start listener.

Error listening on: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=)(PORT=1521)) TNS-12542: TNS:address already in use TNS-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error TNS-00512: Address already in use Linux Error: 98: Address already in use

listener.ora content as below. Check if the Oracle SID is set. If not please export/ set the SID. - Vimal Bhaskar

Try checking host name used in listner.ora if file set properly in OS level. Then try working with the default port 1521
