android emulator shows windows error while starting

I Have installed eclipse kepler in my new Windows XP with 4gb ram. Also installed sdk 20.0.2 when i created new emulator in avd it shows windows error.

"emulator-arm.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"

I tried by reinstalling adt as well as sdk but no effect. kindly tell me needful solution.

Now i installed android studio but here also same problem is arriving. Is there any issue with my pc. – Vijay Tambade

Try Minimum API level=8 (that would be Android 2.2.) . Ensure that your JVM version is compatible.

you can try to change configuration of AVDs and keep trying with different config like device,cpu,check GPU host and use less RAM size like 256 MB while creating AVDs.

i hope it will work.
