I am using Drupal 7, relatively simple configuration, specifically using save as draft module and the workflow module -though I don't think that either of those modules are causing my problem. As far as I can tell everything is setup perfectly but when authenticated users click publish no matter what I do the content remains "unpublished". Admin and any account with by pass content access permissions can publish content but not my authenticated user accounts.

This was working 90% until a few hours ago. I changed one or two permissions when I realised that authenticated users that had saved content as a draft couldn't subsequently publish.

I have disabled workflow on the content type and still get the same problem. I have also created a new content type to test and authenticated users can publish and save as draft and the publish etc... as expected. It seems this one content type is causing the problem?

Authenticated users have 'create own content' and 'edit own content' permissions for the content type in question?

I am pulling my hair out in frustration atm.

Any thoughts? Help very much appreciated.

The plot thickens. I haven't taken the site off line and a number of other users have been able to publish new content. Now i am completely confused. - Danny Browne
