I've installed all necessary packages:

sudo apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev

sudo apt-get install libcurl3 libcurl3-gnutls libcurl4-openssl-dev

But still getting this error.

The problem is likely with checking for Ruby 1.9 Hash... no (look for this string in your output.) It results in implicit declaration of function ‘RHASH’ and everything failed.

I personally have no problem installing this gem on ruby2.

I would suggest you to re-install ruby2 and that probably should help.

Using ruby 2.2.3 I was able to resolve issue by upgrading curb

gem install curb -v '0.8.8'
