I've already spent a fair amount of time researching this and I'm coming up empty on why it's not working. Running Mac Version 10.10.1. I've enabled PHP and Apache by following multiple guides. This was probably the best one:
coolestguidesontheplanet.com/get-apache-mysql-php-phpmyadmin-working-osx-10-10-yosemite/
I've created a file, phpinfo.php at /Library/WebServer/Documents/phpinfo.php
In safari, when I go to: localhost/phpinfo.php I get a blank page.
Checking the source, it shows:
<?php
phpinfo();
?>
Apache is running:
josh3:~ josh$ sudo apachectl -v
Server version: Apache/2.4.9 (Unix)
Server built: Sep 9 2014 14:48:20
josh3:~ josh$ sudo apachectl
httpd (pid 1731) already running
PHP is running:
josh3:~ josh$ php --version
PHP 5.5.14 (cli) (built: Sep 9 2014 19:09:25)
Copyright (c) 1997-2014 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.5.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2014 Zend Technologies
josh3:~ josh$ which php
/usr/bin/php
After restarting Apache, my error log is pretty clean:
[Sun Dec 14 07:35:13.875704 2014] [mpm_prefork:notice] [pid 1731] AH00169: caught SIGTERM, shutting down
[Sun Dec 14 07:35:14.125150 2014] [mpm_prefork:notice] [pid 2092] AH00163: Apache/2.4.9 (Unix) PHP/5.5.14 configured -- resuming normal operations
[Sun Dec 14 07:35:14.125228 2014] [core:notice] [pid 2092] AH00094: Command line: '/usr/sbin/httpd -D FOREGROUND'
I've made sure to include this line in my httpd.conf file:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .htm .html
I've tried using the default versions of httpd.conf and php.ini and my previous versions (that were working under Mavericks) in every possible combination.
I'm including my httpd.conf and my phpinfo from the command line for reference. Any help anyone can offer me would be greatly appreciated.
#
# This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
# configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
# In particular, see
# for a discussion of each configuration directive.
#
# Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
# what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
# consult the online docs. You have been warned.
#
# Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
# of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
# server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
# with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
# with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
# server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
# will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
#
# ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
# configuration, error, and log files are kept.
#
# Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
# ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
# Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
# same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
# least PidFile.
#
ServerRoot "/usr"
#
# Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
# for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
#
# Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
# mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
# other reason.
#
# Mutex default:/private/var/run
#
# Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
# ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
# directive.
#
# Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
# prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
#
#Listen 12.34.56.78:80
Listen 80
