Shopify paypal payment that doesn't ask for paypal registration to the customer

I created a small shop with shopify with the default payment gateway, ie paypal express checkout.

When customers click on the paypal checkout button, they are asked to enter their credit card number AND to enter an email and choose a password in order to register to paypal.

However, it seems possible to configure paypal to avoid asking paypal account registration to the customers, as described here.

Which paypal solution should I choose? I have "Paypal express checkout", "Paypal payflow link", "Paypal payments advanced" as available choice.

  • Payflow link would be ideal option so that buyers are guaranteed that they would be able to pay with Pay with PayPal and Pay with Credit card.
  • PayPal Advanced is provides same option but available only in U.S
  • With Express Checkout their cart must pass "SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole" , so that buyers get both the option of paying with card and paypal.(but this is not always guaranteed).

I would personally recommend you to use PayFlow link.
