I'm trying to set up a debian web server with apache, fastcgi and fpm, but I'm getting exasperate.

As soon as i deactivate mod_php I get following error:

Do you have any ideas what could be wrong?

I believe you could do:

sudo chown www-data.www-data /var/run/php5-fpm.sock

*Substitute www-data.www-data with whatever user Apache / PHP-FPM run under.

You just need to uncomment this lines

listen.owner = www-data
listen.group = www-data
listen.mode = 0666

In this case you don't need use manipulation with chmod or chown.

i dont know how to fix that but problem is related to permissions of /var/run/php5-fpm.sock

you have to chmod 666 /var/run/php5-fpm.sock

chmod does not fix the problem.
What are user and group defined in /etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d and /etc/apache2/apache2.conf? In my config the value is ojinaso.

Command below answers question:

egrep '^(user|group|listen|export APACHE_RUN_[UG])' /etc/apache2/envvars /etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf

/etc/apache2/envvars:export APACHE_RUN_USER=ojinaso

/etc/apache2/envvars:export APACHE_RUN_GROUP=ojinaso

/etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf:user = ojinaso

/etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf:group = ojinaso

/etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf:listen = /run/php/php7.2-fpm.sock

/etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf:listen.owner = www-data

/etc/php/7.2/fpm/pool.d/www.conf:listen.group = www-data

So I have to run :

$ id
uid=1000(ojinaso) gid=1000(ojinaso) groupes=1000(ojinaso),4(adm),27(sudo),113(lpadmin),128(sambashare)

$ usermod ojinaso -G adm,sudo,lpadmin,sambashare,**www-data**

Close the session and re-login

$ id
uid=1000(ojinaso) gid=1000(ojinaso groupes=1000(ojinaso),4(adm),27(sudo),33(www-data),113(lpadmin),128(sambashare)

$ ll /var/run/php/php7.2-fpm.sock
srw-rw---- 1 www-data www-data 0 févr.  1 10:24 /var/run/php/php7.2-fpm.sock=

Hope this helps you.
