Your two methods are mapped to /. But your URL is /customer.

Moreover, this doesn't make sense:

<form action="customer" action="addCustomer">

A form can only have one action. If you want to invoke the method addCustomer, it should be

<form action="<c:url value='/'/>" method="post">

You also can you the spring taglib to help you generate your URL.

Example:

 <spring:url value="/model/customer" var="url" />
 <a href="${url}">Link</a>

Your component scan tag scanning "com.projects.model" package but your controller is in "com.myprojects.controller" package change the component scan from

<context:component-scan base-package="com.projects.model" />

to

<context:component-scan base-package="com.myprojects.controller"/>

then try.
