+1. It's not always easy to grasp what Microsoft means when it adds "Visual" to the front of a product name, as it has done numerous times. I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask what it is that makes it "Visual".

Visual FoxPro is the successor to FoxPro. In the transition from FoxPro 2.6 to Visual FoxPro 3.0, many things were added including object orientation, a much improved tool for designed forms, built-in support for remote SQL databases and more.
