Install IIS using Inno Setup

Question

I can't seem to figure out how to run this code using Inno Setup (below). I'm trying to install IIS7+. If I run it directly in the cmd prompt, it runs fine but because of the "start" part at the beginning, I'm a little confused on how to run it from Inno Setup. I can run any other exe that I've needed but pkgmgr.exe doesn't see to play nice.

If I run the original start /w pkgmgr... line in the cmd prompt, it installs it perfectly. (I have a VM with a clean snapshot that I restore to before each time I run a test)

I still get an error though. The message box that popped up said Operation failed with 0x80070057 The parameter is incorrect. The log shows Process exit code: 87. Is there somewhere that shows what each Process Exit code means?

UPDATE 4

I removed the /l:log.etw parameter and that fixed my issue!

That error suggests that it's not a standard executable. What's the output from the Inno setup log? — Deanna

You would use a [Run] section and have it be like:

By not having the nowait flag on the Run line, InnoSetup will wait for the IIS to install. Adding the 32bit / 64bit Flag causes InnoSetup to use the proper application and prevents "incorrect format" type errors. The Check parameter makes sure that the program is only run on the proper operating system.

I have not tried this but it should work.
